What was it about?

Sunday in Leipzig, right after filming wrapped: for the ARD project “Was Deutschland verbindet” (What unites Germany), 42 people from all over Germany tried to get back into conversation with each other — and I took a look behind the scenes, live on the ARD Twitch channel.

I interviewed participants right after their sessions, talked to Julia Krittian from the programming directorate about the vision behind the format, and to host Andrea Sandor about bringing such different viewpoints together on one set. The chat was there live and joined the discussion — public-service content at eye level.
